Definition of rolling wheel: a tool that uses metal plastic deformation to roll threads on a rolling machine

Precautions for using the rolling wheel:

1. The rolling machine tool is in service due to poor accuracy, high vibration, and abnormal operation;

2. The alignment of the rolling die is not correct, causing axial displacement of the rolled part, and the tooth pattern is subjected to both shear and compression stresses;

3. The size of the rolled thread blank is uneven, and the surface is not cleaned thoroughly, with grinding wheel foam, oxide scale, and dirt;

4. The hardness of the rolled parts is uneven (8.8 grade bolts should be between 27-30HRC; 10.9 grade bolts should be between 35-37HRC), to prevent the mixing of untempered high hardness (50-55HRC) quenched parts into tempered parts due to poor management, whose hardness is similar to the hardness of the rolling wheel tooth groove edge, resulting in blade breakage.

5. During rolling, no lubricant was added, resulting in dry friction and causing the temperature of the tooth tip to rise sharply to exceed the heating temperature of the rolling cycle. The tooth pattern was softened due to excessive tempering, leading to tooth inversion and tooth pile failure;

6. The rolling wheel must be fully demagnetized before leaving the factory, leaving residual magnetism. During operation, fine iron foam adsorbed by the teeth will accelerate wear and failure.

The pitch of the rolling wheel is not matched with the diameter, its pitch is fixed, while the diameter may vary. There are several different diameters of rollers for a pitch of 1mm, such as 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, etc. for a diameter of 70. When choosing a rolling wheel, first select the pitch, and then see how large the wheel is suitable for rolling.
