The forged steel bar straight thread joint is used in projects with higher construction requirements, such as road and bridge pile foundations, where the steel bar needs to be compressed and thickened, and connected to the sleeve, resulting in a stronger tensile strength of the entire connected steel bar.
Ordinary straight threaded sleeves are made by using stripped steel bars with both horizontal and vertical ribs, so that the diameter of the column before rolling the steel bars reaches the same size, and using rolling straight thread technology to process the end of the steel bars to form thread heads.


The upsetting sleeve connection is achieved by pre upsetting the end of the steel bar to be processed with a dedicated upsetting machine, increasing the diameter of the steel bar in that processing section, and then threading the upsetting part with a dedicated threading machine. The diameter of the threaded sleeve can be infinitely adjusted. When connecting, use a regular construction wrench to thicken the straight thread and connect the straight threaded sleeve to the end thread of the steel bar to complete the docking of the steel bar. The upsetting type equal rigidity thread connection technology has the advantages of stability and joint strength greater than the strength of the steel reinforcement base material.
The upsetting straight thread connection joint is formed by the interlocking of the straight thread made by upsetting the end of the steel bar and the thread of the connecting piece. The process involves first upsetting the ends of the steel bars using upsetting equipment, and then processing the threads. The diameter of the threads should not be less than the diameter of the steel bar base material, so that the joint and base material have equal strength.
The advantages of upsetting straight thread connection joints are high strength, fast on-site construction speed, low labor intensity for workers, pre fabricated steel bar straight thread heads, and on-site connection for assembly operations.
Its drawback is that it is prone to upsetting deviation during the upsetting process, and once upsetting deviation occurs, it must be cut off and re upsetting must be carried out; During the upsetting process, internal stress is generated, and the ductility of the steel bar upsetting part decreases, making it prone to brittle fracture. Thread processing requires two processes and two sets of equipment to complete.
Specifications: Regular grid styles include 16mm, 18mm, 20mm, 22mm, 25mm, 28mm, 32mm, 36mm, and 40mm. We also produce extra large styles such as 50mm, 55mm, and 60mm according to customer needs.
If the customer does not provide a definite type and specification of the sleeve, the customer should correctly explain their type, specification, and requirements, and sign the contract under the condition of mutual understanding between the supply and demand parties。

Key points of upsetting sleeve operation:
Flat end of steel bars: After straightening the steel bars, use a grinding wheel cutting machine or specialized cutting equipment to cut them. Require the end face of the steel bar to be perpendicular to the axis of the steel bar, and the end face must not bend or have a horseshoe shape. If the end of the steel bar is unqualified, it should be cut off with a grinding wheel cutting machine.
Upsetting experiment: Before each batch of steel bars enters the site for processing, an upsetting experiment should be conducted, and the final value of the optimal upsetting pressure and shortening amount should be determined based on the qualified upsetting amount.
Initial upsetting: Before upsetting, the upsetting machine should first return to the zero position, then insert and tighten the steel bars from the front end, and then apply pressure to the oil pump. Firstly, select an initial upsetting pressure for upsetting.
Determine the optimal parameters: Inspect the upsetting finished product processed by the upsetting experiment, mainly checking whether the upsetting base circle diameter, upsetting length, upsetting shortening size, etc. meet the requirements, and adjust the upsetting pressure according to the inspection results until the qualification rate of the upsetting finished product is not less than 95%, in order to determine the optimal parameters.
