Simple construction process: Use rolling technology to process the ends of the steel bars into straight threads, and use corresponding connecting sleeves to connect the two steel bars to each other.

There are six types of steel sleeve: straight thread sleeve, split sleeve, grouting sleeve, pier coarse sleeve, cold extrusion sleeve, and weldable sleeve.

Straight threaded sleeves are cylindrical steel sleeves with internal threads, divided into two types: equal diameter sleeves and variable diameter sleeves. When connecting the steel bars, directly screw the threaded joints of the two steel bars into both ends to complete the connection of the steel bars. The use of a straight threaded sleeve connection requires rotation of the steel bars.

Split type sleeve, consisting of two symmetrical semi cylindrical sleeves with outer conical surfaces and two locking sleeves with inner conical surfaces. The outer diameter of the semi cylindrical sleeve decreases from the middle to both ends. When connecting, fit the two halves of the sleeve with an outer conical surface at the joint of the two steel bars, so that they are interlocked with the steel bar threads. Finally, fasten the locking buckles of the two inner conical surfaces from both ends to complete the connection of the steel bars. The use of split type sleeves can connect non rotating steel bars that have already been formed or pre embedded.

Grouting sleeve is a sleeve composed of one grouting port and one discharge port, which is divided into semi grouting type and full grouting type. When connecting steel bars, grouting material is injected and the bonding and biting force between materials are used to connect the steel bars. Grouting sleeves are suitable for connecting small spaces such as prefabricated concrete structures.

The rough sleeve of the pier is connected by first using a rough processing machine to rough one end of the steel bar, and then using a threading machine to thread the rough section of the pier. The overall steel bar connection is formed by interlocking the specially designed straight thread at the end of the steel bar with the rough sleeve of the pier.

Cold extrusion sleeve is a type of sleeve without internal threads. When connecting, the cold extrusion sleeve is wrapped around the two ends of the joint of two steel bars and placed in a dedicated pressure equipment. According to the specified pressure and indentation, the sleeve undergoes plastic deformation through pressure to connect the two steel bars together.

Pre embedded sleeve, also known as threaded steel sleeve or suspension pile sleeve, is used to be pre embedded into the construction, so that a special lifting device can be used in conjunction with the threaded steel sleeve to complete the lifting function during lifting. The threaded steel sleeve is made of HRB400 material threaded steel.

Weldable steel bar sleeve is a steel bar connection sleeve between rigid steel columns, mainly used for steel bar connection construction between large steel columns and frame beams. The principle of its connection process is that the sleeve used for connection has weldability, which can easily achieve welding connection with the steel column. Due to the processing of the connecting sleeve having internal threads that can match the external threads of the steel bar end, it is convenient to achieve the connection between the frame beam reinforcement and the frame beam.

Process flow of steel bar rolling straight thread connection:

Steel bar cutting → thread rolling → thread head inspection → on-site thread connection

Operation process:

The steel bar rolling straight thread connection uses a specialized rolling machine to roll the end of the steel bar, and the thread is formed in one go. The steel bars are rolled and threaded, and the material at the bottom of the thread is not cut off, but squeezed out, increasing the original diameter. After rolling, the material of the thread hardens, increasing its strength by about 6% -8%, greatly reducing the weakening of the thread on the base material. Its tensile strength is 97% - of the base material, and its strength performance is very stable.

Quality requirements for sleeves

① The surface of the connecting sleeve is free of cracks, the threads are full, and there are no other defects.

② The tooth profile specification inspection is qualified, and the dimensional accuracy is checked using a straight thread plug gauge.

③ The outer surface of connection sleeves of various models and specifications must have clear steel bar grades and diameters.

④ The holes at both ends of the connecting sleeve must be sealed with plastic covers to keep the interior clean and rust proof.

Key points of process operation

1) Reinforcement thread processing

① The thread head, tooth shape, pitch, etc. used for processing steel bar threads must be consistent with the tooth shape and pitch of the connecting sleeve, and must be inspected and qualified by the matching gauge.

② When processing steel bar threads, water-soluble cutting lubricants should be used; When the temperature is below 0 ℃, 15% -20% sodium nitrite should be added, and oil should not be used as lubricant or threaded without lubricant.

③ The operator should inspect the appearance quality of the steel wire heads one by one and make operator markings.

④ The steel wire heads that have passed self inspection should be randomly sampled for 10% of the processing quantity of each specification, and not less than 10 pieces. If one of them is unqualified, the entire processing batch should be inspected. The unqualified wire heads should be reworked and can be used after passing the re inspection.

⑤ The qualified thread ends that have been inspected should be protected with protective caps and neatly classified according to specifications for future use.

2) Steel bar connection

① When connecting steel bars, the specifications of the steel bars should be consistent with those of the connecting sleeve, and the type, pitch, and outer diameter of the steel bar threads should match those of the connecting sleeve. And ensure that the threads of the steel bar connection sleeve are clean and intact.

② When connecting steel bars, they should be aligned with the axis and screwed into the connecting sleeve.

③ After the joint splicing is completed, the two thread heads should be tightly pressed against each other at the center of the sleeve. There should not be more than one complete thread exposed at each end of the sleeve. The number of exposed threads for extended joints is not limited, but there is a clear mark to check whether the length of the thread head entering the sleeve meets the requirements
